Teo Governance Advisory Pte Ltd draws on the extensive experience of Dr Teo Ho Pin in governance, leadership, corporate strategy, public administration, township management and community development.
Dr Teo brings more than 30 years of experience in township management and community development in Singapore, with extensive expertise in corporate governance, board leadership, public policy and the built environment. He shares practical insights gained from leadership across the public, private and academic sectors.
He served as Member of Parliament for Bukit Panjang (1996–2020) and Mayor of North West District (2001–2020). During his public service career, he chaired Government Parliamentary Committees covering National Development, Environment and Water Resources, Home Affairs, and Law. He was also Chairman of Holland-Bukit Panjang Town Council and Co-ordinating Chairman for 15 Towns serving about one million dwelling units in Singapore.
His public-sector experience spans governance, stakeholder engagement, community development, municipal services, facilities management and public-service delivery. He was closely involved in the development of Singapore’s township management model and the application of technology, sustainability and innovation to create well-managed, resilient and liveable communities.
Dr Teo brings substantial corporate and boardroom experience. He is Non-Executive Chairman of SGX-listed Tiong Seng Holdings Limited and King Wan Corporation Limited, and Chairman of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board. Current Independent Director of listed companies - Enviro-Hub Holdings Limited and ISOTEAM Limited. He is also Senior Adviser to Surbana Technologies Private Limited and Adviser to Innova Bio-Medical Pte Ltd.
His professional interests include corporate and public governance, the built environment, facilities management, smart cities, sustainability, digital transformation and future-ready township management.
As an Adjunct Professor in the Department of the Built Environment at the National University of Singapore (NUS), he bridges academic knowledge with practical experience from government, industry and community leadership.
He is also Patron of the Singapore International Facility Management Association and Senior Adviser to the Singapore Environment Council.
